The Bel Sonore Chamber Ensemble was formed by Thomas Bulgrin in New York City and is now based in Chicago, Illinois. Consisting of soprano Deborah Bulgrin, flutist Madelene Campos, oboist Crystal Hall and bassoonist Thomas Bulgrin, Bel Sonore performs a repertoire ranging from the Baroque music of Telemann and Bach to the jazz standards of Duke Ellington.
The woodwind trio plus voice has performed at countless weddings, receptions, parties and other social, civic and corporate functions as well as recitals at such venues in New York as CAMI Hall and the Brooklyn Museum. In Chicago, Bel Sonore has performed in the Byron Colby Barn at the Prairie Crossing Concert Series, Fourth Presbyterian Church, and the Harold Washington Library Concert Series. The ensemble has also played to wide acclaim at numerous Chicago metropolitan area libraries, and for various chapters of the Lyric Opera Guild.
